Precision analog recording equipment — disk-mastering lathes, vacuum platters and cutter heads — engineered by hand for the people who still cut records.
Get in touchThe workshop
Glasgow Analog is based in Hillington, in the historic Rolls-Royce building where the legendary Merlin engine was once produced. It is a fitting home for a workshop devoted to precision — every machine we build carries that same insistence on getting the small things exactly right.
We are dedicated to the vibrant, ever-evolving community of people who cut vinyl. Bridging heritage and modernity, we pay homage to the rich history of the format while folding in contemporary advances in audio engineering — so each piece of equipment delivers the warmth and depth that only analog can.
Lathes, platters, cutter heads, lead screws and recording styli — designed, machined and finished here, to the micron.
What we make
Disk-mastering lathes engineered for stability and repeatable, micron-level control.
Turned and balanced platters that hold the blank dead-flat through the cut.
Cutter heads and recording styli made to exacting tolerances.
Hand-finished brass lead screws and drive components for true tracking.
